Some of the above list you might not need or have to get, but I just assume do it once and do it right. Re: Anyone use one of the "blueprint engines" crate mot * More then likely another 200 at various places getting the "little" pieces you forget or can't find when you need them * Fittings here and there for fuel, heater hoses, etc. * Antifreeze (at $10/gal it adds up quick) * Bell housing alignment pins (3 sets): $60 ** $350 for Midas to screw it all up very bad and it still is not right, but it is on the car. ** $200 for jegs kit which did not fit at all (e body) * Radiator: 170 (Summit 27" aluminum + friend welded brackets on) * Motor: $3600 + tax + Gas to pickup + Lunch to friend for using his truck 273/318 just minor modifications to the motor mounts. I have delt with 5 of these now and have not had any issue with them, even when on the dyno, the 360/390 produced 414 HP and the 402/435 (now the 406/435) produced 447HP.Īs far as installing, if your replaceing a 340/360 it is a bolt in. The Mopar Magnum Crates are assembled by Cummins. There is a $1500 difference but then again I equate that to the roller cam and better Head combination. The R/T Heads are one of the best flowing Heads out of the BOX including the W2's. Use of a Mechnical Fuel Pump if you want, since the Mopar Magnum Motor has an ecentric on the cam.Ĭorrect Timing change cover to use the Mechnical Fuel Pump.Īll Mopar Crate Magnums now are supplied with the Big Valve Magnum R/T Heads vice the older magnum heads. I might need a new motor for the nats and this might just fit the bill.Īctually there are quite a few differences between these and the MOPAR Crate Motors. I know it is not much more then a stock (cast) crank stroker w/ magnum heads, but this is the deal the old 360 crate motors use to be. This apears to be quite a deal for $3600.
